Matt Gosling P.Ag, CCA
Founding Partner / Agri-Coach
Matt founded Premium Ag Services Ltd in 2004 after taking an interest in agricutlure from being raised on a fourth generation farm North-West of Strathmore. 4-H was a large part of Matt’s childhood, as he was involved for 9 years in several beef cattle projects. One of his main interests through his 4-H career was in multi-judging, eventually representing Alberta at the Denver Stock Show in 1998.
Matt enrolled in the Agricutlure Sciences program at the U of A in the fall of 1997 where he received his BSc Ag officially in June 2004. A very important part of his University career was being involved in Farm House fratenity where he held several positions including President in 2001. To continue his education in agriculture he completed the Canadian Consulting Agrologist (CCA) designation in 2005, and his P.Ag in April of 2006.
Manure management and silage production are a big part of the local area and therefore are of particular interest in Matt’s focus. Through the growth of Premium Ag, several specialized pieces of equipment have been bought to service his clients, including a Variable Rate Spin Spreader Application, Veris Soil Sensing, pH Detection, and canola seed treating.
Matt has a keen interest in agriculture around the globe and has spent time with local farmers in countries which include Brazil, Australia, Thailand, Dominican Republic, New Zealand, France and Germany. He has made serval tours to the United states as well. During his time in New Zealand Matt got to spend a day with a previous world record holder for Wheat Yeild, which he found to be an enlightening experience.
Matt has been recognized within the Agri-Trend Network as being Agri-Coach of the year from 2007 through 2012 inclusive.
Andrew Clements P.Ag, CCA
Partner / Agri-Coach
Until late 2006, Andrew lived in England where he studied Agriculture at Nottingham University. He traded grain for a large company called Dalgety before accepting a Grain Director Position with ConAgra. His family has greatly enjoyed settling in Canada and since the move in 2006 he had some local experience in working with Pioneer in Lyalta, buying grain and providing agronomic support.
In the spring of 2009, Andrew started his own company and began to team up with Premium Ag. Since then Andrew has become a partner with Premium Ag, teaming up with Matt to bring Agronoimic advice to clients. Andrew won Agri-Coach of the year in 2012 with Matt.
Canadian agriculture is, fundamentally, similar to Europe but, is hugely different agronomically. Andrew has found leaning the similarites and differences between European agriculture and Western Canadian Ag to be very rewarding.
Andrew specalises in grain marketing services.
